Registration will continue until March 5th. March 21st will be the last day to turn in reading logs.Winners will be announced March 25th at 3:30 pm. Every time a reading log is turned in, the patron will gain a chance to choose a surprise from the “Treasure Chest”. Final prizes will reward the three individuals who have read the most books.Activities and learning unities will accompany the Reading Challenge. The schedule can be found here below.
Saturday, January 26, 2:00 pm A Beautiful Face. This interesting unit will touch on beauty secrets and practices, to keep the face radiant and youthful.
Saturday, February 2, 2:00 pm Paper Crafts. Relaxing and stimulating at the same time, this class offers creative ways to recycle old books, transforming their pages in decorative objects elegant and sophisticated.
Friday, February 8, 2:00 - 4:00 p.m. Chocolate Tasting Party and Book Sale. Hop to the library building to taste delicious chocolate treats, then walk over to the Annex to discover gently used books at small prices.
Saturday, February 9, 1:00 pm to 4:45 pm. Come to make your Valentines at the library. You can make your own, research on line for that special card, or follow some of our templates and suggestions.
Monday, through Friday, February 10 to 15, during library hours, participate in the Page Black Out Poetry Contest.Come to the desk and get an entry page. All poetry will be displayed. Winner of this contest will receive a bag of goodies. Winner announced Saturday, February 16 at 4:00 pm. Winning poem will be posted on library’s Facebook.
Saturday, February 16, 1:00 to 4:00 pm A Book Tasting Party. Good Books, good treats and a mystery prize to the winner of this contest.
