Residents can have up to 6 chickens and a $25 annual permit is required. Enclosure are required and a minimum of 20 feet from the side property line and in the rear yard. Plumbers and Electricians are required to be licensed to do business in Chadron. A $35 occupation tax is required. Please inquire about bonding requirements and reciprocating a license from another jurisdiction. Licenses are issued on a calendar year basis, and renewable each April.
